| Blackboard's Commerce Suite in Action: Site Visit to Arizona State University 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Join us for an educational tour of Blackboard’s Commerce Suite in action on one of our flagship campuses, Arizona State University. We will depart from Carefree Resort & Villas by motor coach at 9:00am on Wednesday. Plan to meet in the lobby at 8:45 AM. Travel to ASU in Tempe will take about an hour. The tour will begin at the Memorial Union with a brief introduction of ASU, the ASU Sun Card system, its uses, and organization. Handouts will include card usage information at locations on and off campus. A tour of the Memorial Union features food service locations, retail, unattended devices, and a stop at the Union Station to obtain a courtesy card and discuss carding operations. After the MU, we will visit the Computer Commons atrium where the new Canon MFD embedded Pharos is deployed, then the ASU Bookstore where the newest TIA running the MBS system is in place. With utilization of the Building Blocks Advanced Data Integration feeding the Lenel system, the next stop will include a quick visit to the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University to see how the ASU security system runs with biometric iris scan and the iClass smart chip for credential access. Time permitting, a final stroll along our famous Palm Walk to the University Club where Micros is being implemented will conclude the tour. During the tour, all participants will have an opportunity to use their own Sun Card on campus. Your Sun Card will be setup with $10 to buy a snack in the Memorial Union, and/or a Sun Devil souvenir in the Campus Bookstore. At 1pm, all participants will meet at a designated spot to re-board our motor coach. We will travel to Sky Harbor Airport making stops at all necessary terminals before returning to Carefree Resort & Villas. The bus should return to Carefree by 3pm. You may bring your luggage to the bus by 8:30am in the lobby of the resort. Your bags will be loaded for you and held during the tour.
